🏠 About Doucko

Doucko connects tutors (teachers) and students (learners). A tutor creates a profile, offers subjects and prices, and sets available time slots. A student searches for a subject, chooses a tutor, and books a lesson.

• Home page - you can choose either 'Become a tutor' or 'Find a tutor' and search by subject.
• Sign up – you create an account (email, password). After verifying your email you log in and depending on your role you will see the Tutor dashboard or My bookings.
• Login - email and password. In the top bar (or mobile menu), you will find links based on your role.

🎯 For students (learners)

Tutor search

On the Find a tutor page (menu or home page), enter a subject and optionally filter by category (school / leisure / other), education level (primary / secondary / university), teaching language, type (online / in person), or date. Tutor cards with reviews and prices are displayed.

Lesson booking

On a tutor card, click Book a lesson. A calendar with available slots opens - choose date and time and confirm. The tutor confirms or declines the booking; you can see status in My bookings (Student dashboard).

My bookings

In the menu My reservation (icon 📋) you have an overview of all reservations - waiting for confirmation, confirmed and completed. Here you can also cancel the reservation (according to the conditions).

Profile

In Profile (icon 👤) you edit your name, address and other data. An ISIC card is optionally available for students to verify their student status.

Dashboard

Dashboard (icon 📋 in the menu) is a center for lecturers. At the top you will see a step guide (profile, subscription, subjects, languages, availability). Quick navigation will take you to the following sections: Subscriptions, Subjects, Languages, Calendar, Appointments.

Profile and visibility

In order for students to find you, you must have a profile: photo and address. Editing in the Profile menu or in the "Finish profile" step on the dashboard.

Go to Subscription

Without a valid subscription, your profile will not appear in search. On the dashboard, in the Subscriptions section, you choose a plan and make a payment (Stripe). Subscriptions can be changed or canceled at any time.

My subjects and prices

In the My subjects and prices section, you add subjects (school, leisure time, others), for school subjects you set the teaching levels (Primary, Secondary, Higher) and the price per hour. Each item can be edited or deleted later.

Languages ​​of instruction

Teaching languages – select the languages ​​in which you can teach (Czech, English, etc.). Students filter by language.

Calendar and availability

In the Availability Calendar, mark the dates when you can teach (on a PC, drag with the mouse, on a mobile phone with your finger). Below the calendar is a list of upcoming dates and reservations. You can confirm or reject the reservation here. You can also add a date manually without a calendar.

Meetings

The Appointments section on the dashboard displays upcoming dates including the booking status (free / waiting for confirmation / confirmed).

❓ Frequently asked questions

• How do I change my password? Log in; there is no direct 'Change password' item in menu - use 'Forgot password' on the login page and enter your email; you will receive a link to set a new password.
• Why can't students see me? Check: active subscription, completed profile (photo, address), and at least one future slot in your calendar.
• How do I cancel a booking? Both student and tutor can cancel from their dashboard (My bookings / Slots list).
• Where can I find terms and privacy policy? In the footer of every page: Terms of use and Privacy policy links.
